Levis Strauss x Kashton Kane AAPI Month Collab

In celebration of AAPI Heritage Month and the 150th anniversary of the Levi’s 501, I collaborated with Levi’s to reimagine a pair of secondhand 501 jeans as a reflection of heritage, identity, and home. Inspired by my Hawaiian roots, memories of grandma. The piece I painted explores the idea that “there’s no place like home” through color, surreal imagery, and personal storytelling. The custom 501s were featured as part of Levi’s 2023 AAPI Heritage Month artist series and presented at Levi’s Century City in Los Angeles where I also hosted an in-store painting workshop.
